General Info
The Societies' Council is a forum in which two delegates from
each society can meet to discuss their needs and the needs
of their members, raise any problems and discuss improvements.
Council meetings will be called and chaired by the Entertainment
and Societies Officer and written reports should be submitted
by each society and the Entertainment and Societies Officer
for approval.
Where
the council can implement changes to practices itself this
should be done, otherwise ideas and suggestions should be
brought to the Executive Committee by the Entertainment and
Societies Officer. Where appropriate, motions may be written
and taken to Student Government. In the second semester, society
delegates will be invited to write a brief to bring to the
council meetings explaining why their society should receive
an extra allocation of funds and what it would be used for.
Which society or societies would receive the funding would
be decided by the council.
