AT
A GLANCE
Setting
up a new society is really quick and easy. There are no
excuses.
You
just need a President to keep order, a Treasurer to look after
the finances, a Secretary to keep all the paperwork in check
and a minimum of 10 members in total. The more members you
have the more money you get from us. Each member pays £3.00
to join a society, MUSU adds another £3.50 for each
of the first 20 members, after that MUSU pays £1.50
for each addtional member.

A 3-STEP GUIDE
1.
Get your members & collect membership fees
2. Complete the form (downloadable below)
3. Hand it in the completed form and your mebership fees to
your campus Students’ Union Reception.
It’s
that simple.
We
will then contact you about attending an induction and you’ll
be ready to get going.
How
musu helps a registered society
When
you establish a society with musu not only do we provide you
with different services, but we also work with you to get
you more and more society members.
Once
registered you can take advantage of various resources and
expertise musu has to offer. We offer training to help run
your society and support with planning events. We can help
you get a minibus licence; find you a hire vehicle for a trip
you’ve planned; a venue for a party; reliable staging
companies, etc. We have a PA system that you can book for
an event.
If
you want to tell the whole University about your society event
you can put your stuff in MUD, the Union magazine. If you
want people to know who you are, why not get an advert live
on MUD RADIO.
If
you want to promote your events at University we can still
help you by providing photocopying facilities, notice board
space, society stall bookings and help with booking University
rooms.

To register a society with MUSU please use the Society
Registration Form in PDF format .

a Society an Existing Society?
It's now easier than ever! Simply print out the form below
by clicking on the link fill out you details including which
societies you would like to join. Then take this form to any
MUSU reception and you will be asked to pay £3 for each
society you wish to join and you will then be given a receipt.
You will now be a member of your chosen society/societies!

year.
