Information
MUD
Magazine
is a 32 page +, A4, full colour, glossy magazine published
monthly during term time. MUD is written and produced by a
team of students and is edited by the Communications and Activities
Sabbatical - who is supported by a full time member of staff
- and is therefore the main voice for students at Middlesex.
MUD
is available campus wide from all Union reception areas and
student social spaces and is completely FREE. If you would
like to get involved in the production, distribution or marketing
of MUD then please contact the Communications and Activities

MUD
is produced from our Media Centre at Trent Park, which houses
a bank of networked PCs, running de facto industry standard
publishing and graphics software. Experienced staff are on
hand to provide training and guidance. And what's more, those
that get heavily involved, show commitment and enthusiasm
in the first year, will have the opportunity to become a section
editor in their 2nd or 3rd year!
Contributions
Contributions
will be accepted from any Middlesex student or member of staff
(past or present).
Contributions can vary from 150 words upwards with the average
length being around 300 - 500 words. Contributions may be
edited for various reasons, so if it's a bit short, don't
go mental!
To avoid any potential clashes with other content, to ensure
relevance and, above all to stop you wasting your time writing
something that won't be appropriate, we ask that you complete
and return to us a submission form before writing your article,
feature or review. You simply need to provide a working title
for your piece and quick synopsis of the content. We'll then
make sure that it's date relevant, doesn't conflict or repeat
other content and that it conforms to MUSU policy. Once received
we'll let you know that you can go ahead and provide a deadline
date for submisssion of your completed article.
Submission
Forms can be downloaded here (Word 97-2000).
Content deadline for the January issue is December 1st please
ensure that your submission form is sent to us in good time
prior to this deadline.
